Amanda Debreceni
Amanda is the Co-President of the Interprofessional Healthcare Students’ Association (IPHSA) for the 2016-2017 school year. She has been a part of this club for the past 3 years, and truly sees the value that interprofessional collaboration can have in our healthcare system. Her goals for this year are to promote the awareness of IPHSA, and have more students from different faculties join in on the social and educational events this year. For the past 3 years, she has seen the growth of IPHSA, and would like other students to see its value, and to understand why interprofessional education is part of our curriculum today.

Neha Puri
Neha is one of the Co-Presidents for IPHSA this year. She is in her second year of medicine. Prior to medical school, she completed three years of undergraduate study at the University of Waterloo in an accelerated pharmacy program. Having a background in pharmacy has provided Neha with a unique appreciation and interest for interprofessional collaboration. This is Neha’s second year with IPHSA. Joining IPHSA has been a great opportunity for her to meet students from all facilities! In her spare time, Neha enjoys reading and working out.

Kaitlin Siou

Having completed an engineering degree prior to beginning medical school at U of T, Kaitlin sees the value in collaborating with different professionals to come up with creative solutions to increasingly complex healthcare problems. This year, she is determined to increase the network of institutions with which healthcare students can collaborate and engage. In her spare time, Kaitlin enjoys practising yoga.

Tracy Liu
Tracy Liu is the VP Finance for 2016-2017. She is currently in her 3rd year of dental school at the University of Toronto. Edmond Chiu
Edmond has participated in the IPHSA Education sub-committee since the start of his pharmacy education here at UofT. He would like to continue to bring events that hope to fill in the gap that other IPE events aren’t able to provide by creating events for students by students - he looks forward to our case challenges and symposium this year as he's sure they’ll be another hit! On his off time, he's jamming to ONE OK ROCK, reading manga and taking late night walks in the city!

Julie is a third year dentistry student at the University of Toronto. As VP Outreach, she coordinates the Outreach subcommittee that seeks to promote healthcare awareness and educate our community about the roles that different professions play when providing interprofessional healthcare services, and how they can benefit from this integrated approach. The group also seeks to educate students about the diverse healthcare disciplines offered at the University of Toronto via seminars, career panels and workshops, giving students the opportunity to learn more about these diverse career paths, ask questions, and enjoy interactive activities based on each discipline. Julie loves her role as VP Outreach as it gives herthe opportunity to meet so many people, and learn more about how our different healthcare professions work together to help our community. Glory-Noveliani Widjaja
Glory is in her first year of Pharmacy and sits on the IPHSA exec council as Co-Vice President of the Health Policy Subcommittee. Growing up playing a multitiude of sports; from volleyball to basketball to competitive university level co-ed cheerleading, she knows the difference that teamwork can make on and off the court. She loves meeting new people and is looking forward to learning more about other healthcare professions and how they can all integrate to create the best possible working environments and patient care. So, if you ever see her on campus or around downtown, feel free to say hi!

Her goal is to encourage students from the different health professions network and build relationships with each other through fun events! She hopes to help students learn more about other health professions and how we can all work together in our respective fields. Fun fact about adena: I have photic sneeze reflex (Looking at the sun or bright lights makes her sneeze uncontrollably).

Allie is one of the co-Vice President for the Social Subcomittee this year. Her goals include: creating a supportive environment for all faculties to have fun, create friendships, and professionally network, and introducing the MHI program to a new audience of future colleagues. A fun fact: Allie is also a rock and blues singer-songwriter!

Interfaculty Curriculum Committee (IFCC) Liaisons
Gea Panic
Gea Panic is a 2nd year Pharmacy Student with a passion for teamwork in healthcare, which led her to become a member of IPHSA. This year, she will be taking on the position of the IFCC Liaison. She hopes that she is able to bridge the gap between students and faculty by providing a student voice so that the Interfaculty Curriculum Committee (IFCC) is aware of our concerns, and also so that we are aware of the goals/plans that the faculty has for us. She wants to create a space for open communication and ensure that all students are able to complete their electives or certificates with ease. She is also a member of the IPHSA Outreach committee. It is a very rewarding and enjoyable experience, so she encourages everyone to get involved! A fun fact about herself is that she is the biggest dog lover, but unfortunately, has never had one of her own.
