Vice President Outreach
George Ho
George is currently in year 2 of the Medicine program. One of the objectives we’ve added to our committee this year is to provide networking and mentorship opportunities for students interested in connecting with students from professional programs they are interested in. We aim to do this by: 1) providing a sign-up link at each event so that students can indicate their interest in connecting with members on the Outreach committee, and 2) having committee members who have volunteered to work with the VP on this initiative to ensure the process runs smoothly. This way, we can build a more longitudinal relationship with students, and we hope to help them learn more about future career paths in healthcare. Speaking from personal experience, I found it very challenging to decide what I wanted to do career-wise. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the mentors I met who were patient with me and supported me! I hope my team and I can simply be available for students in their journeys of discovering what they wish to pursue.Toronto is home to many different boutique coffee shops. I absolutely love coffee and enjoy exploring different places in the city where I can try new coffee shops!
